Strategi Penanaman Karakter Sopan Santun Melalui Pembiasaan Salam, Senyum, Dan Sapa

Abstract

Character education is an essential foundation in developing students’ personalities. This study analyzes the implementation of the Salam, Senyum, dan Sapa (3S) practice as a strategy for instilling courteous character in students. The research used a literature review with a descriptive approach, examining recent studies and literature on character education and positive habituation in schools. The findings indicate that consistent 3S habituation can cultivate courtesy values through observation, imitation, and internalization. Success in this strategy is supported by teachers’ exemplary behavior, a conducive school environment, and collaboration with parents. The 3S culture effectively creates a harmonious learning atmosphere and shapes students’ respectful, caring, and open character in social interactions.
